OUR PROTOCOL IS SIMPLE:
IT HAS TO BE CLASSIFIED
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO REPLACE YOUR ROOF?
As a roof ages, it becomes more prone to developing issues for homeowners and can not hold up to severe weather events.
If left untreated, a damaged roof can lead to serious health problems over time. Water can seep into the home, causing bacteria to take hold and mold to spread throughout attics and into walls.
To ensure your family and home are properly protected, it is important to know the age of your roof so that it can be replaced before greater costs are incurred.
With Classified Roofing, we will provide a free inspection, educate the homeowner of the issues their roof may cause if not addressed, and work with clients to make sure their home is protected.
WHEN IS IT TIME
FOR A NEW ROOF?
There are many different signs to look for to determine if your roof may have passed its due date. If your roof checks more than one of these signs it may be time for a new roof:
Roof looks old and worn out. The colour of your home’s shingles may be faded and have discoloration.
Shingle edges are curled or shingle tabs are cupped.
Neighbours are getting new roofs. Homes in the same neighbourhood are typically built around the same time and undergo the same weather conditions. Seeing problems to the roof of a nearby home could indicate that it is time for your roof to be repaired.
Blown off shingles or bald spots where granules may be missing.

Granules found inside your gutter.

Improper ventilation causing roof damages such as leaks.

Roof valley damage. Roof valleys lead snow and rain flow through the valleys and into gutters. If the valley is damaged, it may cause roof leaks.

Roof age is over 20 years. Experts suggest that if your roof is over 20 years old it may be time for a new roof.
